Christian Comedian/Writer/Actors Kerri Pomarolli and Ron McGehee Join The Chronicle Christian Newspapers to Take On Politics, Hollywood and Current Events In Their New Monthly Humor Columns Headline Humor & Report From A Hollywood God Girl
Los Angeles, CA — June 12, 2007 — Best know for their numerous television appearances magazine articles, books and cutting edge Clean Comedy, Kerri Pomarolli and Ron McGehee take another approach to lampooning politics, current events and Hollywood gossip. Both have joined The Chronicle Christian Newspapers as its newest columnists. McGehee's column, Headline Humor, will attach something more meaningful by discussing politics, religion, current events and world news from a Christian viewpoint through engaging humor. Pomarolli's column, Report From A Hollywood God Girl, will feature thought provoking humorous articles on the latest celebrity and entertainment gossip and her own insight on how to survive secular Hollywood while keeping one's faith intact to exploring reasons why the industry is so secular in the first place and how it affects today's youth. Pomarolli's cartoon Kerri will also be a new addition to The Chronicle Christian Newspapers.
Ron McGehee has headlined at such venues as the World Famous Improv Comedy Clubs and The Comedy Store. McGehee has also appeared on NBC's "Last Comic Standing 2" and recently filmed a commercial for the international transportation company DHL that is airing nationally. He has made a number of guest television appearances including Comedy Central, ABC Family, TBN and TLN and has also written for The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The Carson Daily Show, and Jimmy Kimmel. He tours throughout the U.S. performing stand up and speaking at churches and colleges bringing his life lessons and hilarious multi cultural humor to audiences nationally. He is also busy as a screenwriter and contributing writer in many magazines including Brio for teens from Focus on the Family and Battle magazine.
Kerri Pomarolli is an accomplished actress, published author and veteran of television with credits that include 27 appearances on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, recurring roles on Port Charles and Young and the Restless, and Lifetime Network. She has been a popular guest on many TV shows on Fox, TBN, CBN, The Total Living Network, ABC, ABC Family Network, The Joni Show, CNN Headline News Showbiz Tonight, Hallmark Channel and many others. She also writes her own bi-monthly advice column "Confessions" in the national magazine Radiant, co-writer with Ron McGehee new advice column in Positive Reactions magazine, contributing writer for the new national magazine Hope For Women, writing articles for the teen magazine Brio, is a contributing writer in Flint Wainess' new book "Its Not Me Its You", co-writer with author Matthew Paul Turner on new book to be released in Fall 2007 by Nav Press, and is part of a new book "Relevant Nation 50 Revolutionaries Under 40" in stores now published by Relevant Press. Her book, "If I Am Waiting On God, Then What Am I Doing In A Christian Chatroom?; Confessions Of A Do It Yourself Single" is in Christian bookstores nationally.
Pomarolli continues to hone her craft by working the comedy club circuit and has become one of the most sought after Christian comedians and tours extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. She has shared the stage with such diverse Christian Comedians as Ron McGehee, Sherri Shepherd, Carlos Oscar and Anthony Griffin. Whether she's at a secular comedy club or a church congregation Pomarolli uses comedy as her pulpit and has become an innovative and charismatic evangelical.
The husband and wife comedians recently starred and co-produced a pilot produced by Eastgate Productions.
